Isn’t it adorable how humans seem to just be programmed to… want to look after a little creature? Humans everywhere, for thousands of years, have been looking at other animals and thinking “I want that to be my friend”. We take other creatures, feed them, look after them, pet them, love them, and mourn their deaths. I have no idea at what point in our evolutionary history this trait came along, but isn’t it kind of adorable?
